I've seen that too, where it takes a little while for that distrust to build up.

From my personal experience sounds much more like a nursing strike based on the reaction when you were bitten. Kids very rarely self wean in such an abrupt manner.

My (almost) 5 year old is still nursing as well.

I would be interested in the specific types of information you will be including in the book.

Surprisingly enough we have several. Most of them are closer to downtow Atlanta (I'm in the burbs) but there are even two herbal/spiritual type stores right here in my dinky little town. Very Happy

It is good, we've got it in our LLL Library and I read it a couple of years ago. I really liked it.

Give her a copy of the 101 Reasons to breastfeed.

Encourage her to read everything she can about breastfeeding.

Encourage her to attend LLL Meetings *while she is pregnant*

The interesting point is that formula isn't just second best it's actually fourth best.

1. Milk directly from Mom's breast
2. Pumped milk from Mom's breast
3. Milk from *another* M ...
